The Canadian Soccer Association has approved the installation of FieldTurf on Toronto’s new soccer stadium despite the protest of some of the players who insist on a more natural surface. FieldTurf is a synthetic fibre surface that is designed to simulate real grass. It has acquired 2-star certification, which is the highest possible standard for an artificial playing field. The association will begin the installation on November to make playit ready for use on May the next year.
